The Arcsine law as the limit of the internal DLA cluster generated by Sinai's walk

چکیده
We identify the limit of the internal DLA cluster generated by Sinai’s walk as the law of a functional of a Brownian motion which turns out to be a new interpretation of the Arcsine law.

Aging properties of Sinai's model of random walk in random environment
We study in this short note aging properties of Sinai's (nearest neighbour) random walk in random environment. With P o denoting the annealed law of the RWRE X n , our main result is a full proof of the following statement due to P.
متن کاملA PRELUDE TO THE THEORY OF RANDOM WALKS IN RANDOM ENVIRONMENTS
A random walk on a lattice is one of the most fundamental models in probability theory. When the random walk is inhomogenous and its inhomogeniety comes from an ergodic stationary process, the walk is called a random walk in a random environment (RWRE). The basic questions such as the law of large numbers (LLN), the central limit theorem (CLT), and the large deviation principle (LDP) are ...
متن کاملInternal DLA in Higher Dimensions
Let A(t) denote the cluster produced by internal diffusion limited aggregation (internal DLA) with t particles in dimension d ≥ 3. We show that A(t) is approximately spherical, up to an O( √ log t) error. In the process known as internal diffusion limited aggregation (internal DLA) one constructs for each integer time t ≥ 0 an occupied set A(t) ⊂ Zd as follows: begin with A(0) = ∅ and A(1) = {0...
متن کاملA Multidimensional Analogue of the Arcsine Law for the Number of Positive Terms in a Random Walk
Consider a random walk Si = ξ1 + . . .+ ξi, i ∈ N, whose increments ξ1, ξ2, . . . are independent identically distributed random vectors in R such that ξ1 has the same law as −ξ1 and P[ξ1 ∈ H] = 0 for every affine hyperplane H ⊂ R. Our main result is the distribution-free formula E ∑ 1≤i1<...<ik≤n 1{0/ ∈Conv(Si1 ,...,Sik )} = 2(n k ) B(k, d− 1) +B(k, d− 3) + . . . 2kk! , where the B(k, j)...
متن کاملDirected random walk on the backbone of an oriented percolation cluster∗
We consider a directed random walk on the backbone of the infinite cluster generated by supercritical oriented percolation, or equivalently the space-time embedding of the “ancestral lineage” of an individual in the stationary discrete-time contact process. We prove a law of large numbers and an annealed central limit theorem (i.e., averaged over the realisations of the cluster) using a regener...
